Karikás csárda

Karikás csárda

The Karikás Csárda was built in 1993 at the entrance of the Kiskunság National Park. The building preserves the traditions of folk architecture inside and out. The white walled, cane roofed building with its tiny windows and the courtyard that provides shade, encapsulates the romantic atmosphere of the Great Plain.

The interior of the tavern, decorated with folk motifs, such as the blue-dyed tablecloths, the carved wooden chairs and the objects hung on the walls, captures the atmosphere of life on the Plain. From the terrace you are able to admire the view of the endless Plain through a small wooden bridge.

Our master chef, Péter Kun, places great emphasis on the preservation of the traditional Hungarian cuisine. Only high quality ingredients are used in the kitchen, and great care is taken when sourcing these ingredients. He creates the dishes that land on our tables from specialty meats such as native racka sheep, grey cattle or mangalica. The menu always includes some seasonal specialties.

The interior of the Csárda is suitable for a reception of 100 people and the terrace can accommodate an additional 200 people
