Karikás Csárda
Due to the design and atmosphere of the Karikás Csárda and its terrace, it is an ideal place for hosting graduation lunches, christenings, birthdays, company lunches or even class reunions! Our private room, which can accommodate 16 people, is recommended for meetings requiring a really intimate atmosphere
The interior of the tavern, decorated with folk motifs, such as the blue-dyed tablecloths, the carved wooden chairs and the objects hung on the walls, captures the atmosphere of life on the Plain. From the terrace you are able to admire the view of the endless Plain through a small wooden bridge.
The interior of the Karikás Csárda is suitable for hosting 100 people and the terrace can accommodate an additional 200 people.
Bogáncs Event House
A further walk from the terrace of the Karikás Csárda you will find the Bogáncs Event House, designed by Ybl-award winning architect Gábor Farkas, which will welcome its guests from 1 June 2011. The building follows folk architectural forms and offers beautiful views of the wilderness.
The special feature of the building is that under the caned roof the sophisticated carpentry structure can be seen, the ceiling is not covered, it is illuminated by reflectors in the evening. Its furnishings are adapted to the atmosphere of the house, carved furniture, tablecloths suitable for the occasion (blue paint or white tablecloth). In front of the event house, a cosy summer terrace has been created, which is connected to the farmyard by a prestigious wooden bridge, where an outdoor oven, a draw well and a corn borer preserve the romantic atmosphere of the farms. From the courtyard the sight of the endless plain unfolds before us, away from the noise of the city we can enjoy the perfect relaxation provided by the unique natural treasures.
The capacity of the Event House is a maximum of 280 people; we can accommodate another 100 people on the terrace. The courtyard is not only an ideal location for outdoor activities, but also provides an unlimited opportunity for successful events with friends, family, corporate and incentive.
Gavallér Event House
Gavallér Farm is 500 meters from Karikás Csárda. It is named after Jolán Szappanos’s work entitled Nagy pusztán [On the Big Plain], in which the writer describes the pastoral life of Bugac in the 19th century.
Jóska Gavallér is a second shepherd boy who stole a horse so that she could buy a sheepskin waistcoat for her sweetheart, Marcsa Dobos, at the Kecskemét fair. However, his deed could not be carried out with impunity, he was captured and hanged.
The whitewashed, cane-roofed event house can accommodate a total of 120 people (80 people in case of a wedding).
Located in the Kiskunság National Park, Gavallér Farm and Courtyard is an ideal venue for private events.
