Horse Carriage ride

Experience the magical atmosphere of the Bugac Puszta!

Our guests have the opportunity to relax during the horse carriage ride, and to experience the pristine nature offered by Bugac Puszta.

The carriage ride starts from the Karikás Csárda.

Along the way, the view of the endless Hungarian wilderness, with its characteristic flora and fauna, is constantly unfolding before us. At our first stop we have the opportunity to see some pastoral constructions. (huts with buns, wattle enclosures)

Our second stop, standing at the circular structure of the Shepherd Museum next to the centuries-old old English oaks, presents the material relics of the pastoral life of Bugac and the wildlife of the national park.

A short walk from the museum leads to our Indigenous Zoo, where you can see a pretty unusual group of animals! Among others, it provides home for the grey cattle, Racka sheep, mangalicas, Speckled Hungarian chicken, Naked Neck chicken and Crested chicken, Hungarian ducks, turkeys and, of course, the yellow Bugac stud, the Kisbér half-breed. Ancient Hungarian breed Komondor and our Kuvasz are new inhabitants of our park.

Our guests could try their hand at horseshoe pitching while the younger guests are able to pet some ponies!

Guests can return to the Karikás Tavern full of new experiences, the ride back starts from the stables.

The duration of the horse carriage ride is approx. 1-1.5 hours.
